The top online gaming company, 888 Holdings, has named Vaughan Lewis as their first-ever Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). To sum up, Lewis is set to join 888 in this brand new role at the start of 2021. As such, he’ll leave Flutter Entertainment, where he was Transformation Lead for International Business after it bought out The Stars Group in May 2020.
Before his stint at Flutter, he was the SVP of Communications at The Stars Group. Previous to this, he was Director of Corporate Development at Sky Betting and Equity Research Analyst at Morgan Stanley, where he specialized in betting and gaming companies. Without a doubt, Lewis brings with him a wealth of experience to the role. But what is the new role’s key responsibility?

To sum up, in this new job, Lewis will report to 888’s CEO, Itai Pazner. He’ll then be responsible for working on 888’s long term strategy. Also, he’ll look after the company’s strategic business development in Europe and overseas. Plus, he’ll take the lead on investor relations. All and all, he’ll work closely with their Chief Financial Officer, Yariv Dafna, to create a group investor strategy.
Pazner said that 888 is very happy “to welcome Vaughan” as their first CSO. He describes Lewis as a “highly experienced gaming industry professional.” What’s more, he believes that he has the skills to “deliver further growth opportunities over the coming years.”
Lewis was also happy to discuss this appointment. He said that he has “admired” 888 for many years since he started as an equity analyst. Furthermore, he claims that the company’s technology, as well as its strong branding and marketing, has made it “an industry leader.” So, he says that he is very happy “to join a great team,” and he is looking forward to helping them grow even more in the future.
