Scientific Games gets help from an unexpected sourceIn recent years we’ve grown accustomed to seeing people move from one position to another within Scientific Games (SG) verticals. And sometimes to work on different products too.

However, when it comes to top management, like CEO positions, the company has been steady. Even if they’ve added a couple of outsiders’ name last year. Now don’t press the panic button just yet, SG is not replacing its CEO. In fact, the current CEO Barry Cottle and games board chairman Ronald Perelman will get extra help from the industry veteran and former CEO of Aristocrat, Jaime Odell.

Indeed, Odell is now on SG’s payroll as a special advisor. And what a catch that is since the man comes with close to 10 years’ experience in the gaming industry and many successes too.

Only the best will do

Although, there have been no official reports that confirmed why Odell is willing to leave his position at Aristocrat. We do know that Slot provider SG is very happy to have him on board. And Barry Cottle was not shy to express his excitement in a recent press release. “We are happy that Jamie will be advising our leadership and our team. We have long admired and respected his success and leadership in our industry.”

Odell also commented on his move and added. “Scientific Games has an outstanding leadership team that drives our industry into the future. And I will do everything I can to support their current strategies.”

Tracking the success

Jaime Odell sure is a heavyweight in the iGaming industry. His accomplishments are nothing short of outstanding. In fact, Odell turned a £1 Billion ($1.3 B) company into a £6 Billion ($7.5 B) leader where he capitalised on market growth. And surely, he’ll do the same as special advisor for the firm who’s expanding into new verticals and territories too. Odell will bring invaluable advice on market innovation, industry trends, and even on the strategies across the organisation. And surely this means that innovation is just around the corner with a name like this on board.
