When you hold the trademark of a game mechanics such as Megaways, there’s no point to not capitalise on it, right? And perhaps this is exactly what Big Time Gaming opted to do when they created Kingmaker Megaways.

In fact, very much like other megaways games currently available in online casinos, this one too offers an incredibly high number of winning patterns up to 16,807. But the game also has a cool achievement builder feature which gives players a sense a progression.
So, don’t think for a second that Kingmaker Megaways is a re-skin of another Megaways game.

The truth be told; this August 2019 release stands in a category of its own. And that’s even if it uses a similar Medieval theme to its sibling, Holy Diver. In reality, Holy Diver and Kingmaker Megaways are completely different games. And their bonuses are also very different as you’ll read below.

Kingmaker Megaways video slot – Bonus Feature

The base game of Kingmaker Megaways is an excellent build-up to the Free Spins feature. And this is mostly because the main game, more or less, dictates how fruitful the next Free Spins bonus you’ll trigger can be. Confused? Well no worries, let’s put things in context to shine some light on that.

So, after loading Kingmaker Megaways, have a look on the left-hand side of the reels where you’ll see a purple, red, blue, and green banner. In essence, these banners are meters that keep track of all 5-of-a-kind gems wins you’ll get in the main game. Then, after triggering the Free Spins, the meter will add-up to give you a huge win multiplier you’ll play with in the feature.

So, in other words, if the banners displayed 8, 5, 3, 1 it means you’ll kick off your Free Spins with a 17x multiplier. Does it make sense?

Symbols and Scatters

The gold crown on a purple background is your key to capitalise on the achievements you’ve collected in the base game. To sum up, if 3, 4 or 5 crowns appear on the reel simultaneously, you’ll play 7, 12 and 20 Free Spins respectively. Plus, you’ll also pocket a small win since the scatter pays in this slot game.

During the Free Spins feature, you’ll also have the chance to increase the multiplier you’ll play with and indefinitely. And this is because, once again, all 5-of-a-kind gem wins will increase the overall multiplier by 1x.

Our thoughts on this video slot

We’ve really enjoyed testing Kingmaker Megaways. And to be frank, we can also see how one could have a very long casino session on this game too. In reality, it would be tough for someone to close a session when all base game banners are loaded up.

So, to make sure you have enough money to capitalise on those achievements, make sure to pace your bets. And if the casino you play on, allows players to wager bonuses on this game, it wouldn’t be a bad idea either to claim one. This way, you know your bankroll will last you longer.
