A well-known Christmas story in the UK is the one about Scrooge. Which is the inspiration for Play’n GO’s Christmas video slot, Holiday Spirits. Where naturally the player gets visited by the ghost of Christmas past, present, and future. That rewards gifts in the form of multipliers and win spins, as you travel through time. All presented wonderfully on 3-reels, 3-rows on 5-paylines with a return to player (RTP) of 96.29%. Plus, with the wide bet range from £0.05 up to £100, Holiday Spirits is truly a Christmas themed video slot that fits all player segments and wallets.

And it has to get said, Play’n GO’s casino adaptation of the famous, A Christmas Carol hits high marks in all areas. Moreover, by scaling it back to a classic setup lifts the overall feeling. Meaning, the most played Christmas video slot this year might well be Holiday Spirits from Play’n GO.

Holiday Spirits video slot – Bonus Feature

In essence, there are 3 features similar to each other active in the Holiday Spirits video slot. Namely win spins of Christmas future, present, and past. All triggers randomly when 2 reels appear with a non-win-spin with all stack symbols, held in place for the upcoming free re-spin. “Future”, if the clock shows 2x when triggered, a re-spin kicks off and adds 1x multiplier (10x max) until you hit a win. The “Present” feature, if the clock shows a 3x, 4x, or 5x multiplier keeps on spinning until you hit a success, where the multiplier remains the same. For the “Past”, it triggers when 10x shows.

Fundamentally, it works in the reversed order of the future feature. Although, it will never go lower than 2x before you get a win. All in all, Holiday Spirits included features that guarantee you to get a prize, some bigger than others.

Symbols and Scatters

Before we go on with the symbols we need to mention, Ebenezer’s Gift, displayed next to the clock, with a “name” sticker showing 2x. Basically, when randomly triggered it doubles all your bonus feature wins (20 x max). As for the symbol selection, from the top, there is the wild symbol, the main character Scrooge. After that, it’s the deceased business partner of Scrooge, Jacob Marley all wrapped up in chains.

Followed by Mr Marley’s arranged three spirits, past, present, and future. While the rest of the symbols and low end of the paytable comes in the shape of wreaths, overflowing Christmas stockings, candy canes, and a snow globe. All in all, there are 9 symbols to keep track of in this 3 x 3 video slot.

Our thoughts on Holiday Spirits video slot

To be fair, it’s not often we see such a feature-rich video slot when talking about a classic 3 x 3 game. Indeed, first off, we have the random (clock) triggered multiplier. This combined with the 3 different guaranteed bonus win features with highly rewarding multipliers. And if that’s wasn’t enough, there is the possibility of Ebenezer’s Gift, granting you a double multiplier on already gifted ones. In the end, who doesn’t love a quality themed, featured, and player value game just in time for the big holiday?

But, what’s more, with the selected bet range, Holiday Spirits genuinely embrace what the season is all about. Still, only you can judge if you like it or not. As such, why not give the classic Christmas story a spin in Play’n GO’s adaptation? And, let’s see if you will get into the right Christmas spirit with this one?
