Nowadays, people are curious about the pioneer era that took place between the 17th and 18th century in America. And perhaps this has much to do with the resurgence of a self-sufficient lifestyle. Think about it for a second. In 2019 we’ve seen many consoles and casino games explode in popularity. They featured pioneers, good old bandits, cowboys and/or sheriffs. And surely it’s something that has not escaped Betsoft’s attention. In fact, in July 2019 the award-winning content creator released a slot that capitalized on the popularity of the good old days, Gold Canyon video slot.

The game itself has a traditional look and feel and brings to life the tale of cowboys and their life during the gold rush. So if you fancy a trip down memory lane, waste no time and read the below review before visiting any casinos mentioned on casinoservice.org to try it.

Gold Canyon – game statistics and other game info

Gold Canyon – Bonus Feature

To sum up, you’ll start racking up riches when 3 or more dynamite stick bundles, (Scatter) land on the reels. Indeed, because in this game, the Scatter pays up to 1,000 coins depending on the number of symbols that landed in view. And the truth is the Scatter pay is a great addition to this game. Because, Gold Canyon does not offer that many free rounds, only 3, with 3 Scatter.

But don’t worry you’ll have the chance to earn more Free Spins in the base game. You do it by triggering the feature with up to 15 Scatters to play a total of 15 Free rounds. So, this essentially means that every Scatter symbol is equal to 1 bonus spin. The same applies to the bonus feature where you’ll have the chance to play an infinite number of Free rounds providing that the dynamite sticks keeps on showing up on the reels.

Symbols and Scatters

There’s a total of 13 symbols in play in Gold Canyon video slot. As you now know, the Scatter is a bundle of dynamite sticks. And the Wild symbol, on the other hand, is a poker playing cowboy. A good thing about the Wild symbol in this game is that it can appear on any reels. Plus, every time the symbol lands in view it’ll expand to cover a full reel. There no limit to the number of Stack Wilds you can get on the reels at once. And so the cowboy can indeed deliver wins that are larger than life depending on the bet level you play with.

Our thoughts on Gold Canyon

All and all, while the overall gameplay of Gold Canyon from Betsoft isn’t that innovative. The slot is still very engaging. And this is primarily due to the stacked wild can land on any reels. And apparently during the Free spins bonus, the cowboy tends to make himself known more frequently than in the base game.

So if you take this into account, plus the fact that you can re-trigger an endless number of Free Spins you’ll find that Gold Canyon is a game that has a lot of value to offer. Especially if you make use of the gamble game to double up small wins. Plus, let’s not forget that it’s not excluded from the wagering requirements of casino bonus either.
