Quickspins female heroine and protagonist, more known as Anna the Explorer, is back to help you conquer the reels. And if you missed her first adventure, we feel obliged to mention that the action begins in The Ark of Mystery. However, this review is all about the sequel and the follow-up video slot, Dinosaur Rage. And as the name clearly gives away, it’s about to go down in the Jurassic period with fears, T-rex’s, and charging Triceratops. Where the end goal is to search for well-paid dinosaur eggs to collect the big payouts in the “Dinosaur Rage, Free Spins” with one main attraction activated, pays anywhere mechanics. Basically, no matter where the symbols land, as long as the number is equal or more to that symbol payout, you have a win on your hands. All this happens on a more than familiar 5-reel, 4-rows, and 1,024 ways to win.

Dinosaur Rage video slot – Bonus Feature

We already mentioned the Dinosaur Rage video slot’s end goal: collect dinosaur eggs (scatter) to trigger the free spin game. That scales with the number of bonus eggs that land, plus a symbol boost per level. In other words, 3 scatter grants you 10 free spins and 1 symbol upgrade. While 4 gives you 15 spins and 2 upgrades. And finally, hit 5-of-a kind scatters, and you get 25 free attempts and also 3 symbol upgrades. The upgrade as such is what activated the pay anywhere feature in the free spins game. All in all, you can activate all 4 feature dinosaur symbols (explained further in the next section) as “enraged” and cover 4 tile positions. Moreover, landing an additional 3 or more bonus or scatter symbols re-trigger the free spins as well as grants you more enraged dinosaurs to start building those big wins.

Symbols and Scatters

First of all, the top paying symbol that can also nudge during the base game is Anna the explorer. By which also, when covering the entire reel, activates the pay anywhere feature. For the feature symbols or dinosaurs, if you prefer, Quickspin has chosen to include the more “famous” ones. This includes, of course, the top-paying T-rex, followed by a Triceratops. That is closely matched with Brachiosaurus and, last but certainly not least, the terror of the sky, the Pterodactyl. Also, the low segment has got a thoughtful makeover. And still, by including Ace to 10 in the low section. The game producer has done so by shaping all the symbols with tusks from an unknown origin. Besides form the mentioned symbols, in Dinosaur Rage, all that remains is the dinosaur egg, the bonus symbol that triggers the free spins.

Our thoughts on Dinosaur Rage video slot

The Dinosaur Rage video slot does an excellent job alone to offer a fabulous experience. However, knowing that it’s part of a greater series adds even more positive attributes to it. We say that, who knows where Quickspin will take Anna the explorer as we go forward. In essence, it’s great to know that the adventure will not stop anytime soon. And for being a sequel, the game producer and its development team have found a way to maintain a red thread while offering something completely new. As such, you feel that the Dinosaur Rage video slot has worked out all initial shortcomings and offers nothing but solid gameplay. Also, if your market allows, you may bypass the trigger and proceed directly to the bonus feature, for a cost, of course.
