Earlier last month, the game provider Play’n GO introduced Rich Wilde’s daughter Cat with the release of Rich Wilde and the Shield of Athena. As expected, the studio was quick to capitalize on the hero’s legacy by adding another title to the Wilde Family of games, Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead. To sum up, Cat’s first-ever standalone adventure goes by the name of Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead. And very much like her dad did in the past. She too opted to go on a quest for ancient artefacts in a slot that offers 10 paylines.
Without a doubt, if you’ve played any “Book of” slot, you’ll quickly recognize the gameplay of this June 2020 release. Nonetheless, since it’s Cat’s first quest, we thought we’d give you an overview of the gameplay below. This way, you’ll know what this Egyptian adventure-themed game is about.

Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead – Bonus Feature
Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead is a much-improved version of Book of Dead. The core of the innovation is noticeable from your first spin. Thus, if you were fond of the first game, you’ll love that Cat Wilde slot’s graphics are crisper. Plus, the animations got a makeover too. So, the game is more dazzling.
However, Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead features are, more or less, clones of the ones on offer in Book of Dead. But, it’s worth knowing that the provider enhanced the selector mechanic. Indeed, in this slot, it’s a bonus wheel that’ll determine the expanding symbols in the 10 free spins, you’ll play after 3 golden compass land in view. Plus, the same symbol combination will help you re-trigger the bonus. But make no mistake, this game can get very wild. And this mostly because of the stacked symbols we’ve highlighted below.
Symbols and Scatters
As you already know in Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead, the golden compass is the Scatter, and it does not have a paid value attached to it. The wilds, on the other hand, are the Egyptian gods. And by the way, the 5 mummy gods can land on any reels in both the main game and the free spins feature. Plus, they’ll always expand before the game payout any wins. The maximum you can win with a 5-of-a-kind combo or by filling up your screen with various gods is 100x.
But keep in mind that in the free spins feature, there’s also another expanding symbol selected by the wheel. And this one will replace all Egyptian gods to award even bigger payouts.
Our thoughts on Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead
Without a doubt, Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead is a solid game that is playable with a casino bonus. Plus, it’s an excellent addition to the provider’s range of Egyptian theme adventure. But keep in mind that Play’n GO is not the only slot producer to bank on a Lara Croft concept to entertain.
Indeed, Microgaming has Lara Croft Temples and Tombs which offer 3 jackpots. And, NetEnt has Lost Relics which landed in the lobby of most online casinos in 2018. So as you can see, they’re plenty of female heroines that are ready to guide you on a quest for riches. Now, the question is which one will you take for a spin the next time you visit any operators mentioned on casinoservice.org/uk? Choose wisely and don’t hesitate to read our other reviews to find inspiration.
