Big Juan video slot is an early November release from a collaborating partner to pragmatic Play. That offers up an explosion of colours, sounds, and visual animations on the game grid. And that is where you need to set your expectations. Namely, a fiesta-focused event where almost everything can happen. And in, Big Juan video slot, you can, during the festivities, partake in such things as free spins with free re-spins with a booster symbol alternative. That also has a fixed jackpot collection system. But what’s more, in the base game, land six-of-a-kind symbols on reels 2, 3, and 4, and all of the six symbols transform into wilds. Plus a collect all win feature, amongst other perks. All in all, just on paper, Big Juan makes up for his name. However, is the specifications seeing eye to eye with actual player value?

Big Juan video slot – Bonus Feature
Mechanically, the bonus game triggers via 3 or more bonus symbols, clearly marked with “bonus” in front of a Piñata. Plus, the number of trigger symbols also scales the number of free spins in the re-spin bonus game with fixed jackpots. In other words, when 3, 4, or 5 bonus symbols stop on the game grid, the player wins 10, 12, or 15 re-spins. So, with the functionality cleared out, let’s see what the bonus game is about. First of all. The new 3-reel, 3-row with a special bonus symbol reel added as well on the right-hand side is where you play your bonus game. Additionally, during the free game, the symbol selection narrows down to fundamentally only include money, extra spin, and jackpot symbols. Granting the user access to some fantastic and pretty plausible chances of winning the 2,600 x your bet as the max win.
Side note about the bonus feature
A couple of things that need a closer look before we leave the bonus game. First, on the middle reel of the 3×3 game grid is the only place the sticky “Bag of Coin” symbol land. While the remaining 2 reels can have money, free spins, and any of the 4 jackpot symbols. Still, the more critical reel is the “special” 4th collection reel trigger. In other words, when the “win” symbol stops on the 4th reel, all visual symbol pays out; make sense? This also includes the collection of the Mini (12.5x), Minor (50x), Major (250x), and Grand (2,500x) symbols. And to trip any of the jackpots, you need to collect anything from 3 to 5 symbols for each specific jackpot. Also, a booster symbol can land on reel 4. With the spinoff effect of adding the money symbol value to the Bag of Coin total.
Symbols and Scatters
Any vigilant online casino player will instantly recognise the structure and symbol selection of the Big Juan video slot. Though to get crystal clear, the jackpot symbols mark Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand. While the other special or feature symbols, if you like, communicate with the same clear message. Meaning they all have the extra spin, win, booster, or a £ value in text or number markings on them. Now, the Big Juan video slot has quite stereotypical inclusion for the theme for the regular selection. Starting from the top with a man with a giant sombrero and a woman with roses in her hair. And a dog with a hat, a hot sauce bottle, and a purple guitar. Leaving the lower Ace throughout 10 left. But also the red flaming chilly as the wild symbols, that’s it.
The real spin experience of Big Juan
Before we get spinning, let’s also mention that the Big Juan video slot has the possibility of 3 bet size adjusters coins per line, coin value, and the total bet. As such, make sure you always check “total bet” before you hit spin. Anyway, this is how our 100, £0.80 test spin turned out. It all got rolling quite slowly with smaller wins. But then, on spin 25, we got the re-spin feature. And would you believe it, including in our winnings were, of course, bags of money, boosters, and coins. But also a £10 Mini jackpot. However, from here, we never entered the bonus game again. But, all things considered, when the 100 test spins were over, the status quo was not far off.
Our thoughts on Big Juan video slot
We cant put the finger exactly on what is slightly off with this video slot. After all, on paper, the Big Juan video slot looks and sounds like a big volume spin machine. Still, what sounds super exciting and filled with captivating mechanics has the engagement flag on half-mast. And it has to get said; we are a bit on the fence with this one. As Big Juan video slot could also be one of the biggest sleepers and become a massive Daredevils and High Rollers segmented win title. Purely based on the free re-spins bonus game with 4 fixed jackpots, and its Bag of Coin and booster symbol. So, we do recommend any player to give Big Juan video slot a fair and personal judgment.
