The studio Just for the Win is sometimes criticized for delivering somewhat predictable games. Yet, with the release of Anderthals, they’ve completely reinvented themselves and created a slot that burst innovation. To start with, the slot offers a fresh take on prehistoric life and transport players in a setting where cavemen and cavewomen coexist on the reels with dinosaurs to deliver payouts worth as much as 2,219x stake.
As expected with most Just for the Win slots, Anderthal too boasts stunning graphics that help to deliver a compelling storyline. But as always, savvy casino players need more than superb graphics, and an upbeat soundtrack to take a slot for a spin. And thankfully, the game’s high variance and features may well appeal to all players regardless of their level of experience with online casinos. So, let’s travel back in time and discover what this slot has to offer, shall we?

Anderthals video slot – Bonus Feature
Just for the win truly has a passion for creating stunning games of chances. So it’s no wonder Microgaming inked a deal with them to distribute their slots. But as previously mentioned, with the release of Anderthals, the studio has truly stepped up its game. And this will be evident from the moment you load the slot and see dynamic symbols right above the reels.
The dynamic symbols can either be extra wilds or spins, win multipliers and free spins. And to win whatever the extra reels offer players will only need to get 2 torch symbols to land in view to activate the corresponding feature displayed above.
For example: if one of the 2 required torch symbols appears below the reels where a free spins symbol is displayed. Players will automatically play 8 free rounds. And if the second symbol shows a +2 its 10 free spins they’ll play.
Symbols and Scatters
Now, of course, the dynamic and ever-changing feature symbols above the reels are a core mechanic of this game. And there’s a lot to say about them. However, since the paytable of Anderthals is quite descriptive on that matter. Let’s shine the light on other important game symbols such as the stacked wild multiplier t-rex.
To sum up, in the main game, if a wild t-rex (with or without multiplier up to 3x) appears in a feature spot. It’ll always expand and will award a re-spin. And as the re-spins are triggered, it’s possible to win even more real modifiers such as extra wilds and wild win multipliers. Plus, it’s worth knowing that the re-spin feature also gives players an extra chance at activating the free spins bonus. So the t-rex is definitely one symbol you’ll want to keep an eye out for as you play this one-of-a-kind slot.
Our thoughts on Anderthals
Testing Anderthal video slot for the readers of casinoservice.org/uk/ has been really fun. In fact, in our opinion, there are few 40 win ways slots that deliver this much action in the base game in our opinion. Indeed, because in Anderthals, it’s not just the free spins feature that is captivating. But since every spin can deliver good payouts the main game too does deliver good adrenaline rushes.
Now this game is rumoured to have a hit frequency of 20.24%, which is admittedly a little bit lower than Arena of Gold video slot which was released more or less at the same time. So while the game is a good bet and offers good value. It’s probably best to play it with a casino bonus to keep the fun lasting. But remember that when playing online slots there’s no guarantee you’ll win. So play responsibly and respect your entertainment budget.
