The co-founder of Quickspin, Mats Westerlund, has just confirmed he’ll be joining Fantasma Games as their new Senior Advisor and partner. Already, he is very well regarded in the industry and brings with him a very strong reputation. In fact, he was a major part of the team that produced successful games such as Big Bad Wolf as well as NetEnt’s Jack Hammer and Starburst. So he has a number of hits under its belt. And hopefully will create even more for the game developer who’s on the rise.
The Founder and CEO of Fantasma Games, Frederik Johansson, spoke highly of Westerlund. When announcing its latest recruit, he said Westerlund is “one of the greatest game producers in the industry”. Therefore, it’s no surprise that he’s happy that his skills will enhance the already existing talent pool of Fantasma Games.
Indeed, when he joins his new company, he’ll have a very important role. Not only will he be a partner, but also an advisor for game production. What’s more, they’ll plan to release the first game under his supervision in spring 2021.
Westerlund is also clearly happy with this new challenge. Indeed, he credits Fantasma Games for making him “love the idea of working with games again”. He describes the team as passionate and said that the company has both “great management and culture”. He is now looking forward to having fun in his new role and working towards producing fantastic new games with an excellent team.
When it comes to making big moves in the iGaming market, Fantasma hasn’t done much since 2019. And this when they became one of Relax Gaming’s Silver Bullet partners.
By becoming a Silver bullet partner, Fantasma Games has been able to add some of its top slots to Relax Gaming’s own platform. But more importantly, get access to the lobby of some of the most distinguished online casinos in Britain.
And consequently, the producer can enjoy an even bigger reach with the audiences it hopes to entertain. Fantasma Games is looking to release its newest slot, Hades: River of Souls, on June 22nd. So don’t miss it.
