Top iGaming company, Scientific Games (SG), has announced that they will be getting a new CEO for their gaming division. Matt Wilson, the ex-president, and MD of Aristocrat Americas will take on the role next year, as soon as the non-compete clause in his current contract has expired. Undoubtedly, Wilson brings a lot of experience to the position. Aristocrat is one of the three biggest slot providers in the industry, alongside Wilson’s newest company, SG.
Wilson is no stranger to growing already big companies. Whilst he was at Aristocrat, he oversaw a lot of the growth in the US Market. Furthermore, he held a number of top positions within the company. Wilson was Senior Vice President of Global Gaming Operations, where he contributed to a huge expansion of their product line. He was also Vice President of Sales and Marketing for North America and Head of Sales for the Asia Pacific. His final role within the company was as Managing Director. He will now take over the position of current Gaming Division CEO, Derik Moorberry, reporting directly to SG’s Corporation CEO Barry Cottle.
However, Wilson won’t be the first to join them from Aristocrat. He will be following in the footsteps of Siobhan Lane. Siobhan Lane, the former Senior VP, Marketing and Gaming Operations for Americas, will also move to SG next year. With Wilson taking his role, Moorberry will be taking a step up. He will move to a senior advisory role. Clearly, SG is looking to shake things up. They are aiming to get the best talent in the industry alongside the best products and services. The top companies are certainly moving things around. To compete, they need the right person for the right role. Wilson should bring a lot of talent to the table and help grow Scientific Games as they would like. It is an exciting time for the company as they look to see where this will take them.
