On September 17th, NetEnt the award-winning game developer announced they’d just opened a new office in the UK’s capital, London. The news surfaced not long after the game provider acquired Red Tiger Gaming. And apparently with this move, NetEnt aims to support the British market and its operators better.
The new subsidiary company, NetEnt UK, is in the Stanley Building in Kings Cross. And 2 industry veterans Andy Whitworth (MD and Chief Strategy Officer) and Rob Fell (Director of Platform Products and Services) will lead it.
Without a doubt, this is a significant step for the company, and they are delighted with the move too. As a result of the new office, they will be able to grow their market shares. Plus, they have started to recruit the top British talents. And will be looking to get even more great employees.
When talking about the move, NetEnt CEO, Therese Hillman described it as the “natural next step” for the business. NetEnt’s leading woman also believes that it shows the industry their “commitment to the local market”. She then went on and described this move as “one of NetEnt Group’s key strategic initiatives this year”.
In fact, the UK is already one of NetEnt’s biggest market. So, apparently, the company foresee even more growth potential there. But some couldn’t help to think that it had something to do with the increase of remote tax to 21% (last April) or Brexit. But inevitably, having an office in London is a win-win for the company and its current customers as well.
NetEnt is a gaming provider that leads the way in the online gambling world. Many players and casino operators see them as one of the best providers in the industry. Today, even if the competition is ferocious. NetEnt is still responsible for some of the best and most popular slots such as Starburst and Gonzo’s Quest.
As well as this, it is the leading game provider to the biggest and best operators too. The truth is, NetEnt has it all from online slots to top table games. And let’s not forget that they’re also heavily investing in revamping their live casino offering.
