PlayItForward, Microgaming’s community-spirited initiative, is about to go for a ride on the wild side. In fact, it has entered a team into The Deloitte Ride Across Britain 2019. This is a huge challenge, which takes place over 9 days. Now, PlayItForward has entered “some of its most competitive and adventurous volunteers” to take on the challenge. However, this challenge certainly isn’t for softies. It will need determination, strength and resilience to get the team across the line.
Clearly, this RAB challenge is a great chance for PlayItForward to make a difference. As a result, they will be able to help charities such as The Prince’s Trust, which helps young people to succeed and make a difference. However, this wouldn’t be possible without the help of volunteers, support and donations.
All in all, the ride covers 980 miles, starting from Land’s End and finishing at John O’ Groats. Also, each volunteer has pledged to raise £2,200 in sponsorship, with the aim of raising a total of £15,400. This will not only be a huge challenge, but the perfect chance to make a difference.
Microgaming Director of Content Strategy, John Quinn, is looking forward to the adventure. He says “It is a challenge more than a race, but I want to see how far I can push the body.” However, he is no stranger to cycling events, having cycled from Nice to Lake Geneva over 6 days. He also has another motivation… turning 40. Life begins at 40 and so does the adventure.
The Prince’s Trust is a very well-respected charity and the partner of RAB. It helps 11 to 30 year-old disadvantaged people to turn their lives around. Up till now, it has aided over 825,000 people. Plus, it also supports about 100 more each day. For many, this will be a bucket list activity – and one that is done all for a good cause.
