This week especially, the focus among casino operators and promotors was on Responsible Gambling. And also the tools available at the players’ disposal to help them have fun online. But to do it, of course, in a responsible way.
As you know by now, starting November 7th and up to 13th, all sectors of the online gambling industry joined forces. And they did so to raise awareness for the 2nd consecutive year about safe gambling in the UK and Ireland. One of the key players in this initiative was the LeoVegas Group.
In fact, throughout the week, the company demonstrated its support. They even switch their logo on the Leicester Tigers team shirt to pay tribute to this noble cause. But they’ve also run other initiatives. So let’s have a look at how LeoVegas plans to make the iGaming sector safer and better for the vulnerable ones.
If you’ve been following our news. You already know that LeoVegas has a helpline for those who battle gambling addiction, LeoSafePlay. But LeoSafePlay provides more than a live chat, email and phone line support to those in need. It’s also a technology that the company hopes to build on to detect patterns before a problem arises. And it does so by creating risk profiles at an early point in the players’ journey.
As Joe Bell, Head of Safer Gambling for a brand of LeoVegas Mobile Gaming Group put it. “The LeoVegas Group is committed to providing not only the greatest but also the safest online casino gaming experience in the industry. It’s a bold ambition but through innovative Responsible Gambling initiatives. And strategic partnerships with like-minded third-parties, it’s one we’re confident we will achieve”.
But LeoVegas wasn’t alone in supporting the cause. Indeed, even the Leicester Tigers chipped in. And they did so by auctioning branded and signed merchandise to the public. The profits of the auction went to the Gordon Moody Association (GMA). In essence, GMA is a facility that helps its resident to tackle gambling addiction.
Looking back, it’s clear that LeoVegas truly help to raise awareness of Responsible Gambling this Week. And given how committed the group is to the cause. It’s fair to assume that they’ll also join the efforts should the event run for a 3rd year too. But will continue supporting the cause throughout the year as well.
